Entry from: Adegem, Belgium Entry Title: “Flanders – Adegem and Terneuzen – Netherlands” Entry: “September 12 On monday the 12th, Leen was borrowing me her car so I went to spend a part of the afternoon in Zaventem and had chineese take away for the first time. In the evening I left with the car to Leuven to get my thing but instead of leaving right away I took some sleep and left in the early morning around 5am without some direct plan of where to directly go. So I took the way to Mechelen, and then Willebroek and saw the sunrise in Temse where I made my first stop along the Schelde. It was a promising sunny day. Further on I continued my way to St-Nicklaas and Stekene and decided to do the Canadians North Flanders Route and reach Eeklo. From then I stoped at every monument on the way or tank along the road until I reached the Adegem Canadian Cemetery. It seemed there has been a ceremony the previous week end and it was still full of fresh flower. I hang around the epitaph for a while reading and commemorating them. I decided then to have a look at the Canadian museum on the same town… deception!! Its nice and alright to have a museum, but nobody even ask me who I was or where I was from and the price was too high for what it was : mostly badges of uniforms of our soldier which we can see for …
