Our Mission
Heritage Rails exists to preserve, celebrate, and share the railway heritage of the Komoka region and southwestern Ontario. We are dedicated to maintaining authentic artifacts, documents, and structures that tell the story of how rail transportation shaped our community's development, economy, and character over more than a century.
Through education, conservation, and public engagement, we work to ensure that future generations understand the vital role railways played in connecting people, moving goods, and building the region we know today.
Volunteer-Driven Organization
Heritage Rails operates as a community-focused institution staffed primarily by volunteers who share a passion for railway history. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds—former railway workers, local historians, educators, and enthusiasts—all united by a commitment to this important work.

Why Railway Heritage Matters
